Choosing a Lincoln Manual Trap

SC-90E

The SC-90E is the most popular manual machine offered by Lincoln. The SC-90E allows the user to throw two targets of any type in a variety of target presentations. The SC-90E has built-in adjustments for Elevation, Windage, and Spring tension.

COMBO

The COMBO is the standard SC-90E with the addition of a rabbit arm. The standard arm can quickly be replaced with the rabbit arm, allowing the standard SC-90E to throw rabbit targets. This rabbit arm can be added to an existing SC-90E at any time. In order to use the SC-90E to throw rabbit targets, the machine must be tilted 90°. Tilting the machine can done in a few different ways, please see the accessories section below for more details.

FR9700

The FR9700 is a dedicated Rabbit / Chandelle machine. It can throw up to two targets at once in a rabbit or chandelle presentation. It has built-in adjustments for Elevation, Windage, and Spring tension. The FR9700 features an extended rabbit arm and specific clutch assembly that results in a more consistent rabbit target. This machine is suited well for a course, where a dedicated rabbit machine is desired.

The base of the FR9700 must be mounted vertically. Please see the accessories section below for more details about mounting the FR9700.

Trap Adjustments

There are four main adjustments to consider when setting target flight path; Elevation, Windage, Tilt, and Spring. Elevation is simply how high the target is angled when it is thrown. Windage is the adjustment of the machine left or right. Tilt is how the target is leaned as it leaves the machine. Spring is the amount of spring tension applied to the throwing arm of the machine, more spring will result in higher speed and longer throwing distance.

Adjustments

The COMBO is a manually adjusted machine. Once adjusted to the desired position, it will continue to replicate the same target flight path.

All position and spring tension adjustments can be done with a ¾” wrench.

The COMBO includes an additional throwing arm so rabbit and chandelle presentations can be thrown.

The base of the COMBO is slotted for elevation and windage adjustments.

Springs

Three different springs are offered for Lincoln Manual Traps.

The Yellow spring yields the slowest target speed and shortest throwing distance.

The Blue spring results in moderate target speed and throwing distance.

The Red spring provides the fastest target speed and furthest throwing distance.

One spring is included with each machine; however, springs can be changed at any time for additional versatility.

Spring choice is selected at the time the order is placed.

Warranty

Lincoln Traps offers a 5 year warranty on the clutch with a 2 year warranty on the rest of the machine.

This warranty does not include normal wear items or damage due to weather or natural disasters. Technical support is also available for the life of the machine.

Release

The machine is fired by pulling the black handle on the machine. Manual machines can not be fired remotely.

Get More Functionality With Accessories

Seated Stand - SC9095ST

The seated stand provides a great platform to mount Lincoln manual traps. The seated stand provides a sturdy steel construction while remaining light enough to move around. For typical target presentations, the SC-90E can be mounted directly to the stand, however, adapters may be required for some target presentations.

Wobble Base Kit - WB99K

The Wobble Base Kit mounts between the Seated Stand and any Lincoln Manual Trap. This kit allows the machine to be tilted up to 90°. This kit is strongly recommended if purchasing a COMBO as it allows the machine to be quickly tilted when switching between standard and rabbit arms.

Teal Adapter - TA-92

The Teal Adapter must be mounted in between the seated stand and the trap when throwing teal presentation targets from an SC-90E. This adapter elevates the trap so it can be safely operated.

Fur and Feather Adapter - FF-94

The Fur and Feather Adapter allows for two manual traps to be mounted to one stand, where one machine is positioned to throw a standard target and the other is positioned to throw a rabbit or chandelle target.

Rabbit Adapter - RA-92

The Rabbit Adapter allows the a Lincoln manual trap to be mounted on a vertical surface. This adapter is fixed and does not grant any tilt adjustment. This adapter is recommended for the FR9700, where the machine would permanently be fixed in a rabbit or chandelle orientation.

Universal Adapter - UA9435A

The Universal Adapter provides a simple way to mount a Lincoln manual trap in a fixed location. The adapter fits over a 4”x4” post, making it easy to mount a trap to a fence or deck post. Using the universal adapter also allows the trap to tilt.

Teal Clips

Teal clips allow Lincoln manual traps to be elevated and tilted while ensuring the targets can’t slide off of the throwing arm. Teal clips come in a set of two, with one clip for each target on the throwing arm. The clips can be individually adjusted for each target. They come in two sizes, the TCP-90mm / 110mm clips can be used for 90mm, 108mm, or 110mm targets, while the TCP-60mm clips work exclusively for 60 mm targets. Teal clips are highly recommended for the SC-90E. Teal Clips are not needed on the FR9700.

Teal Finger - TF-200A

The Teal Finger, like Teal Clips, is used to hold targets in place when tilting or elevating the trap. While the Teal Finger offers a more consistent solution than Teal Clips, the Teal Finger can not be adjusted individually for each target.

Trap Cover

The Trap Cover offers protection from the elements in cases where the machine is outdoors. The cover is made of a durable canvas which is designed to fit securely around the trap.
